Prompts and General Art

Prompts & claims are how you earn currency in Ranebopets! They are often processed in under 3 days. If you feel the approval is taking a while, you are allowed to enquire after 5 days have passed.

Prompts are themed, have specific requirements, and can earn you badges and items.
Claims are for submitting General Art, which is any art/writing that is not a prompt- as gift art, character art, etc.

Prompts

Prompts are themed, have specific requirements, and can earn you badges and items.
Make sure you understand the Ranebopets standards before completing one.

All prompts (Click on the magnifying glass to expand)

  • You can only claim rewards on a piece of art/writing once! No double-dipping.
  • You cannot combine prompts (doing two prompts with a single piece of artwork)
  • Hatchlings can only do Hatchling Prompts and event prompts unless otherwise stated.
  • You can only claim one badge per submission, with the exception of mascot badges that can be earnt alongside any other prompt with no limit per piece.
  • Badges are account-bound and can't be transferred unless you've moved accounts.

Walkthrough: Submit a prompt (click to expand)

Step 1: On the navbar, go to submit > submit prompt

Step 2: Fill out the info:

Prompt: Select the name of the prompt you're submitting to.
Submission URL: Link the art or writing you completed.
Comments: Include any additional links (thumbnails, moodboards, other linked prompts for affinity quest claims)

Add a Scoring breakdown for your piece. This is a list of what you're claiming, and any bonuses.

Step 3: Claim your Currency!

    • In the Rewards section, use the Add Reward button to add as many rows as you require.  You can always use the Remove button to delete any rows you don't need later!
    • Under Reward Type, select Currency and Ranebo coins (RC) as your reward, or Event Currency (EC) if it is for an event prompt.
    • Enter the Quantity you are claiming. Please make sure that these numbers are correct!
    • Please do not add any rewards contained in the prompt's base rewards (Such as badges or items). These are automatically included.
 

F.A.Q

My prompt was denied, what can I do?

If your prompt has been rejected, there is no need to worry! When a staff member rejects a prompt, they will explain why it was rejected, and you will need to edit your art to meet the requirements of the prompt.

Can I claim multiple badges with one prompt?

No, you can only claim one badge per submission, except for the mascot badges. Example: You couldn't claim a Leaving Home and Fairytale Badge in one submission, but you could claim Leaving home and Mello's mascot badge.

I'm not sure how much RC I earned!

If you aren't sure how much Rc you earned for a particular submission, feel free to ask a mod in the Ranebopets discord for help or ask on the FAQ comments!

If I completed x number of different prompts, can I submit them together?

Sorry! For each prompt you do, you will have to individually submit each one. Even if you do the same prompt three times, you will have to submit each one individually. If you have uploaded all of your prompts as a batch, you can use the same link for each prompt submission. Just be sure to clarify which images go with each submission.

For prompts like dragoon discovery with multiple parts, can I do one part in writing and the other part in artwork?

We ask that you stick to one media type for a singular prompt. We will not accept multi-part prompts unless all parts are done in the same media. 

Do you accept collabs?

Yes, but if you choose to collab with another artist for a submission, the artist who submits the prompt will get all of the rewards. It is up to the artists involved to divvy up the prompt's rewards. Only the one who submits the prompt will earn the prompt badge. 

 

General Art & Claims

General Art or Writing is any Ranebopet-related piece that is not a prompt -  gift art, character art, etc. Submit general art & writing through Claims to earn currency.  How much are things worth?

Rule #1: You can't submit lineart or sketches alone for currency! Art must at least have flat colors for it to count for currency. Limited palette art also counts for colored art.

What you CAN'T claim on...
  • You can't claim on things twice (No submitting art for a Prompt claim and then a General claim!)
  • You can't claim on the FIRST masterlist drawing of an MYO Ranebopet as this is part of the requirement to make them official. Later masterlist art for the same character can be claimed for RC, however.
  • Art you commissioned, but did not draw yourself. 
  • On-base art:
    • If the base is your own original base, you may only claim on it ONCE.
    • You can't claim RC on art you've made on someone else's base.

What you CAN claim on...

  • Giftart, Commissioned art, or art trades that you drew
  • Any art featuring at least one canon ranebopet 
  • Art of familiars, but you must own the familiar in your inventory to claim on it.

Step 1: In your navbar, open the New Claim page by going to submit > submit claim.
 
Then, fill out the info:
1. Submission URL: Link the art or writing you completed.
2. Comments: If you have any other comments or notes about this claim, put them here. 

◦REQUIRED: Add a Scoring breakdown for your piece. This is a list of what you're claiming currency on.

Step 2: Claim Your Rewards
In the Rewards section, use the Add Reward button to add as many rows as you require.  You can always use the Remove button to delete any rows you don't need later! Under Reward Type, select Currency and Ranebo coins (RC) as your reward.  (Event currency cannot be claimed with general art!)
Enter the Quantity you are claiming. Please make sure that these numbers are correct!
 
Submit! You're done! You will receive a notification when your claim has been processed.
 

Claims F.A.Q

Why was my claim denied?
If your claim was denied, make sure you read the moderator comments. You may need to make edits to your artwork or reward claims, or you may have submitted something that was already claimed. If no rejection message was included, please contact the moderator via deviantART or Discord!
Can I make multiple claims at once?
You can submit multiple as long as they're compiled under the same link (in one image, in a sta.sh folder, etc) and have separate scoring breakdowns. (If they're compiled into one image, please label each piece to correspond with their scoring breakdown!) Otherwise, you will have to submit a new claim for each link!
Do the colors of my character have to be exact?
No! The colors don't need to be exact and you have full artistic freedom, so long as we can tell it's your character. You can use limited palettes or color monochromatically if you wish.
